All recordings and the live workshop are in French. You should be comfortable following professional discussions in French to benefit from the programme.

Beyond the studio, a different set of questions begins.

You have work to show. But which pieces belong in your portfolio? How do you explain your practice to someone encountering it for the first time? What price should you quote when someone wants to buy?

Then come the questions about your next steps: where to find collectors, how to fund an exhibition, which journalists to contact, and what to share online to build interest in your work.

These decisions take time. They also shape your career.

I created the NANA workshops to share practical methods for addressing each of these questions. You can turn to them when a specific challenge arises, then apply what you learn to your own practice.

The aim: understand what to prepare, who to approach and how to present your work so you can move your projects forward.

12 workshops connecting your work, your audience and your professional development.

Each workshop addresses a specific challenge. Together, they help you work through the different aspects of building a career as an artist.

Methods drawn from my work with artists.

I’m Annelise Stern, curator, artist agent and founder of NANA.

Since 2017, my career has taken me from organising exhibitions for young artists to running an independent gallery and founding an agency. Today, I represent artists, produce exhibitions and develop collaborations with institutions and brands.

Presenting an artistic practice, making the case for a project, bringing partners together and creating opportunities for work to meet its audience are part of my daily work.

Through these workshops, I share methods drawn from that experience to help you make your own decisions and develop your professional practice.

One year to work at the pace of your projects.

You don’t have to watch everything at once.

Preparing an application? Start with your portfolio and artist statement.

Have an exhibition coming up? Focus on planning, partnerships and communication.

Looking to develop your sales? Begin with pricing and collector relationships.

For one year, you can return to the recordings, revisit a method and explore a subject when it becomes relevant to your work.

Start with the decision you need to make this week.
